About Me

I graduated from University in 2017 with a degree in Marketing and French, thinking I knew it all but how wrong I was.

In fact, the things I learned about marketing and business during my studies were largely useless and outdated, and all the knowledge I have accumulated in this area since then has come from self-study.

With this in mind, right after graduating, I felt I hadn’t learned much didn’t have a great passion for marketing, and was pretty burnt out from being in the education system.

So I hopped on a one-way flight to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam where I spent the next 5 years working as an English teacher. I liked teaching and loved interacting with the kids but I knew that it wasn’t my passion and it felt more like a means to travel and live abroad than anything else.

I knew I wanted a career that I found fulfilling but I just didn’t know what it was.

Ironically, it was the Covid pandemic and subsequent lockdown that put me back on the marketing and business path and eventually led me to have this blog today.

I lost my teaching job due to school closure and had no income for an extended period of time.

This is when, through a bit of simple Google research I discovered the concepts of blogging, affiliate marketing, and passive income.

I spent a few years jumping from one shiny object to the next without much success. I launched and closed 2 blogs that went nowhere, launched an e-commerce store, tried paid ads and many other strategies but just couldn’t make anything work.

I failed because I didn’t have a framework or the proper motivation and belief that I could make this work.

This pattern continued until the end of 2023 when I purchased a blogging course by the brilliant Adam Enfroy that was full of active and passionate bloggers and marketers.

Little did I know that all these side hustles I tried built me up to where I am now.

I started to put what I learned there into action by publishing content that genuinely helps people and slowly I started seeing positive trends in my traffic and site authority.

The course and community of like-minded people to ask questions to and support me was just the motivation to get me unstuck and finally start taking action on my dreams and goals.

Through all the ups and downs, what kept me going was a solid focus on my goals and perseverance, no matter what.

So, I hope my story has given you some inspiration to keep working towards your goals, no matter what, and create the life you deserve.

Now I am commuted to continuing to grow this blog, achieving financial freedom, and helping others along the way by becoming a blogger and content creator.
